this is quite an old doodle. i posted it on my flickr november last year. but i have never posted it before or made it public until now. i do that a lot.. for some reason.anyways, this is just a simple question with two possible answers but will most likely be followed by many other reasons, explanations and justifications. so tell me, do you believe in soul mates?

I don't think so. I think there is always someone who is the best fit for someone else, but many people come close - it's how we can fall in love so many times! I believe in.. best matches? That sounds so unromantic, but then I think your best match grows into your soul mate as the years go by <3
I think about this question a lot too. I agree with Brittney. I think there's a bunch of people that are a good fit for you, and as you get to know them better, they become soul mates.
i do believe in soul mates. yet, i don't think they have to be the person you marry or spend the rest of your life with. it can be best friend, sister, brother, aunt, even pet... someone you have an unmatched connection with - your kindred spirit.

I believe that in finding your soul mate, a lot of time and effort have to be committed in order to discover him/her. So, yeah, i do believe in soul mateS, as long as there is a natural chemistry and the commitment as I mentioned above involved.

i'm a hopeless romantic, so i should believe in soul mates. but honestly, i don't. but i believe in fate and magic and fairytale. soul mates is too sure of a thing, because sometimes it just doesn't work out but for others it does.

yes I do :). I think there is one 'best' someone for everyone. And there's this sense of belonging to that person that precedes all the physical stuff... For sure the physical aspects can reenact those feelings of belonging, but in my opinion, the feeling of security and belonging will precede any physical 'activity' for the person that is my soul mate. :)

I am married to my best friend. I have never used the term "soul mate" before when referring to him, but considering he is the person closest to me- both romantically and in friendship, I guess in some ways we could be soul mates. I know I couldn't be married to anyone other than him and there's no one else I'd rather do life with.
It's cute, I like it! And yes, sure, why not. It's a much nicer idea than there being no soulmates!
Yes. My soul speaks to my partners and his speaks to mine. It is unconscious and indescribable and often unknowable. But I feel it and I believe it.
Yes, I think I do but not for everybody. Most of us never actually find them. So the next best thing is to grow into one. Lots of humility and saying sorry will make for a happy relationship. Cherrie
