a lesson learnt.

this is something i've learnt along the way. no matter how good or how bad your past was, it is still a part of you, or was a part of you. there's no point in denying that. own it and just move on. live in the present.

do you agree?

My boyfriend always tells me something similar when I get upset for accidentally bringing up an ex. I really like this doodle! =)

Completely agree. This past year has especially been that way for me! I may be using this picture soon in my blog, and I will certainly link it back here. Everything is so lovely.

Of course. The past is experience, it can be god or bad, but you always learn something from that. I hope you are fine =)

I agree. Finally I'm able to, at least, leave it in the past. This is beautiful :)

as long as we learn from our past- then its ok to remember, but don't dwell on it. divorce has made me stronger, wiser. but those 4 years are a part of who i am & why i am who i am today.

I agree the past will always be a part of you but I don't think the past defines who you are today.

mhm this is a lovely quote. also, i'm in the process of reading through your entire blog and currently around post number 400, and still going back. although, everytime i see your messages about changing your layout, i always wonder what it looked like. like, the many changes in background/header and the moleskine layout etc.

I agree. I know people who want to discard their past, which is valid, but I think there is a difference in acknowledging what you have learned from what you've been through and moving on FROM it, and trying to deny that your past ever happened.

To have a new vision of the future, it is necessary to have a new vision of the past.
