so i bought topshop nail polishes the other day. this one is called "sketch". i couldn't resist the packaging. they are so cute! i think half of the time i buy things, it's because of the packaging..this is also the same reason why i like to wonder around in a book store because i love looking at all the different book covers. it's very inspirational for me.
i guess it is a pretty bad habit to have, looking at things from the outer surface.. but when things are so pretty, how can you resist? is there anyone else having this habit?

Definitely! This is true for so many things. We buy clothes for their 'outer surface', do we not? :)
I have the same habit!! Today i painted my nails with TOPSHOP 'feisty' polish! It is bright pink/coral!!!

definitely! whenever i am in a rut, i often take a stroll down to a book store and i am suddenly inspired! although its all for the outer surface, i think, we take in the inspiration and make it personal. then its not just outer surface anymore! it all works out!
no you don't say....hahaha. I do it ALL the time. I have more stationary that I can supply with all of my friends for a long time because of that reason. I love cards and notebooks too!!

Products and object are made to look good on the outside, or no one would ever take a second look at it. It's not a bad habit at all..
I know it's going against the old-age cliche, but I'm similar to you with books - I always go for one's with arty/obscure covers...something that keeps me guessing.

I have so many books because their covers were too pretty! I always have alot japanese candy because I love the packaging!! =)

I'm like that with with most things though - I'm attracted to the pretty packaging! I think it goes back to being a child and wanting to play in the box rather than with the toy, ahaha :)

I used to buy Benefit cosmetics because I loved their packaging (their stuff is okay too).
I know what you mean, I'm always drawn into a pretty display or such and instantly buy it if its' in my price range despite having no use for it.

but of course i dont have any use for an expensive & pretty mailbox. ah well, i'll buy it when i have my own place someday haha (:

I totally understand what you mean! I have a similar Topshop vanish in "Galactic"- I really like the quality!
Especially with Make-up-items I love cute and pretty packaging, for example the YSL Make up or Benefit. It's gorgeous! :)
