not the best.

i don't draw very well. in fact, i find it really difficult to draw objects as they are. for some reason, when it comes to me and drawing, i have this perception in my head and my hands draw them as how i think of them. not as how they really are.

i wish i could draw objects exactly as they are.. but i think i've come into terms with the fact that i can't draw well. and just make do with what i can :)

planner time.

i always get really excited when it's close to the end of the year because i know that it's time for me to change my yearly planner. currently i am using the moleskine pocket soft-cover weekly planner. and it is a complete mess! mainly because i accidentally spilled lemon water all over it a few months back. so now the pages are wrinkly and i can barely write properly in it. but i still use it anyways..

so for 2011, i have decided to not use moleskine. just because i was getting bored with their whole layout.. and wanted something new in exchange. so i got the graphic image pocket planner instead! they are amazing, i even got my initials embossed in gold :) i was so impressed with the pocket planner that i went ahead and ordered their desk planner! i am still waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

acts & ideas.

this is not necessarily true.. because sometimes we do need ideas in order to act on something in our life. without ideas, we may not be doing anything at all..? but of course, ideas alone won't work, you also need to act on them.

the problem for me is that, sometimes i have too many ideas and i don't end up acting on them.

thankful.

just plain random.

this is so true. i tend to procrastinate a lot. but i think as i get older, i am more wise about doing it. i am not as ignorant as i used to be. or i guess, not as lazy as i used to be.

anyways, i completely forgot that blogspot/blogger has this "stats" feature now where you can see how many people have seen this blog today, yesterday, last month, you get the idea.. it's so interesting! and then you can also see which part of the world is your main "audience" which is another cool thing to know :)

so this is quite a random post. expect more of these to come. because for some reason, i am either tongue-tied or just plain random.

this was something i made up. because there was one night, where i was seeing the brightest star in the sky. it out-shined every other star and it was just shining all on its own.

phone photos.

i'm giving my nails a break these days. i haven't had nail polish on for about 2 weeks, i think. that photo was taken a while back when i tried the whole glitter gradient tip nails. it's pretty easy but it just sucks having to clean it up cause glitter always makes it really hard.

and oh, i was wondering.. does anyone know of any really yum but easy spaghetti recipes? i feel like cooking some for myself. any suggestions? i love spaghetti so technically any type of sauce will do. but i do prefer tomato-based ones instead of the creamy ones.

boys and girls.

so i watched this old film, called boys and girls the other day. because i remember it being really cute when i first saw it about ten years ago. it's one of those simple love stories, with minor complications but nothing too complicated like the films these days.

and sometimes, i like simplicity in films. and oh, i really liked the quote above. it's pretty sweet, don't you think?

a lesson through the years.

when i was younger, i was probably "following the herd". but as i got older, i got comfortable with myself and i know what i want, what i don't want, what i like, what i don't like, what i think is right and what i think is wrong. i guess it's called the process of growing up.

i just want to put this message out there. don't always follow the herd. sometimes they might not even be right. you might as well be an individual and be proud at that.

productive week.

for some reason, when it comes around to this time of the year.. it makes me feel like i have so much to do before the holiday season starts. i don't know why. i always feel rather busy when it's the end of the year. do you feel the same?

also, if you have been following my blog.. you'll know that i have a deep appreciation for strawberry shortcakes! the cream always gets to me. and i always think that they are so pretty to look at.

and just in case anyone is interested, that's a forever21 ring i bought a while ago. worn with chanel's rouge fatal on my nails.

ps. some of you have had issues with my small font so i've decided to make it bigger and in a different font too. i'm not really liking it but it's fine for now. i don't guarantee that it will stay this way though :p just cause i like my fonts to be small. i don't know why.

dreams vs fears.

hello and thank you for all the romantic comedy films that you guys suggested in the previous post! unfortunately, i have seen most that were suggested, so i guess there's not that many great romantic comedies out there huh?

some of you asked what are my favorite romantic comedies, and i think i'll save that for another post. along with what's on my current playlist..

also, i just want to say thank you again to those who brightens up my day with their sweet emails. i don't see how what i write or post here can make people's day or make them happy.. but apparently it does.. so i will try my best to keep up with it!

any suggestions as to what you want to see here, please leave a comment and i'll be happy to consider them :)

recently on my phone.

baked some snickerdoodles, which were super yum! and from that i got inspired to add cinnamon powder to my regular sugar in my coffee every morning. it makes such a big difference. i don't know why i didn't think of doing that previously. no looking back now..

watched keeping the faith on my ipod. a pretty old film but it's good nonetheless. i really want an ipod touch because they are lighter and has a bigger screen. mine is currently the 120gb ipod that does not exist anymore and it's quite a pain to carry it in my bag every single day.

other than that.. i've been spending a lot of my time in front of my beloved macbookpro and having tomato soup :)

ps. any romantic comedies to recommend? doesn't matter if they are super old, as long as they are good! i am a sucker for romantic comedies.. then again, who isn't.. right?

one of my favorites.

it is so incredibly true. what you see is different to what other people see because you are in different shoes and in different places.

to find someone who sees things in a similar way to you, well that would be kinda amazing. you don't find many people like that, so when you do.. you should cherish them.

life in general.

the quote above is kinda perfect, isn't it? i find it to be so true. i think i've had my fair share of experiences and foolishness that it allows me to gain some wisdom about life. and i wouldn't do it any other way.

so it's that time again where i ask you guys what's on your playlist at the moment. i am in need of new songs and you guys are always giving me really good ones to listen to :) so please suggest away in the comment section below! i'd appreciate it. thank you.

and oh, below is another one of my attempt on nail art. i did this quite a while ago though and i didn't like it much. i think it was the color. i used opi's lucerne-tainly look marvelous for the tips and as usual, tickle my france-y for the base, also by opi. and if anyone is interested, i used those japanese masking tapes so that i can have straight/slanted lines. another random note about nail polishes, i want to find a nice dark metal gray color.. any advice?

drawing a blank.

i guess you kinda need both in life, knowledge and wisdom. if you only have one, that's not too good.. the key is balancing both, i think.

i don't know, i am a little blanked-out today..
