shades of blue and gray stones

as promised, here is the first of the stones postcard from my previous post. i think out of the three, i like this one the best. i'll post the other two soon enough.. probably one by one. because i just realize that they look more like camouflage on screen. and i'm not too sure that i like that.

also.. i have a whole stack of expired polaroids. i am still thinking of a way to do something with them. i just haven't figured it out yet. and in a way, i feel like it'll be a waste if i do anything to them. so maybe i'll just let them be as they are. or maybe that's my laziness talking.

brand spanking new work

i spent most of my sunday doing these. they are postcard size watercolor paper and i felt like the theme should be stones. so that's what i've come up with. i'll scan it in when i can, so that you'll be able to see the actual work. for now.. this is just a preview, i guess.

anticipating for fall 2010

oh yes, chanel has a new nail color for this year's fall. and i for one, cannot wait to get my hands on them!! the color is called paradox and it reminds me of their previous vendetta color but i don't think this one is as dark.

e d i t e d : has anyone seen the supposedly new polaroid camera that's coming out? in my opinon, it's pretty ridiculous that it's the same exact one as a fujifilm instax mini but just with a different brand and different colors. what is happening..? i think i just lost respect for polaroid to blatantly copy another brand's product. i am seriously disappointed.

what is it that makes laduree so freaking awesome? is it the taste of the macarons itself? the packaging? or the whole hype of it all? i am still not sure. but this box below was pretty good. i wouldn't mind having some more.

pink roses are my favorite

so i don't know about the rest of the girls in the planet.. but i've always had a soft spot for pink roses. i mean it doesn't get any better than that. some girls like red roses but i find them kind of tacky and cheesy, in a way. but that's just my personal preference. i also like white lilies, they smell so nice!! actually i think if i were to put them in order, i like peonies best, and then lilies and roses comes in equally. what are you favorite flowers?

ps. that's my moleskine page of this doodle. i don't think some of you realize that i do mix both of my hand-drawn and digital works together. the spring 2010 playlist is the perfect example.

anyways, it's really interesting to voice out my opinion in my blog and then have you guys reading it and voicing out your own opinions. i truly appreciate every single one of them and i think i should do it more often.. just because i really enjoy reading what you guys have to say on the same issues that's inside of my head. it's kind of like having conversations with your friends in a way.

my thoughts for the day

1. i am in desperate need of a haircut. and i think my hair length is at that stage where they just like to fall apart. it's kind of ridiculous the amount of hair that's falling off every time i shower or brush my hair. so yes, i really need a haircut.

2. i just read what cameron diaz said about losing her virginity, that it was a "chore". and i really hope that it's some sort of miscommunication from her to whoever was interviewing her. cause or else.. seriously, what are you trying to tell the kids who look up to you? i mean.. whether or not you are religious, the topic is a private and sensitive one. you shouldn't be just doing it to "get it over with". i truly believe that it's a sacred thing that you should cherish until you get married. call me old-fashioned but that's what i really believe in.

3. i realize that i used to create a lot more graphic images previously. the ones that are created by the computer.. but recently i'm more keen on creating something with my own two hands. technically, the computer graphics are done with my own two hands too. but you get what i mean. below is an example of what i used to make. which do you like better? my hand-drawn doodles or my computer graphics?

a collaboration with mausumi

so this is something we have been working together for. mausumi took the photos and i doodled the quotes that she told me she likes. and here's the result..

so what do you guys think about it..? i love how she shoots with film. it's something us, digital camera users can never get. and i can only hope to try and shoot with film in the future. maybe one day. here's to my never-ending wishful thinking.

the confessions of an insomniac

aah i get this all the time so i just need to let it out. some nights i can sleep so well and soundly but other nights, i really struggle. i guess it's only normal.. and i can't be the only one who's suffering from this, right? it could be my intake of caffeine for the day.. or maybe i have too many thoughts going around in my head. either one.

oh, i also forgot to mention that i took down the poll from my right column.. not sure if anyone noticed. but i was just getting really annoyed looking at it. so i took it down and below are the results. thanks again for those who took part in it, i truly appreciate it. still not sure when i'll be producing anything.. let's just have our fingers crossed for the time being.

i really liked how green these pages turned out to be. it makes them look fresh in a way. anyways, i've been cleaning the whole day, a pretty productive day.. i must say. but i still have a whole lot to clean and throw away. it really just reminds me to not spend money on useless junk that i don't need. seriously. well i know better now. note to self: only spend money on things that i really need, not what i want and won't use in the end.

i wish i could decode dreams

i had one of those dreams last night. one that involves someone whom i've lost contact with. it was a good dream though. something that would never happen in real life. i guess that's why they are called dreams. i wanted the dream to continue so i kept on sleeping.. but it didn't.

also, the above doodle is something i came up with. a lesson that i've learnt. but i think in the end.. everything always happens for a reason. you can't have regrets, just learn from your experiences.

summer feet and ice cold cappuccinos

hello. how has your summer days been? mine has been pretty good. i've started to watch pretty little liars since i have nothing else to watch these days. it's quite good, actually. i was pretty impressed. the cast are all pretty and i like how it has that mystery twist to it. apparently, it's based on books as well.. just like gossip girl.

hello there. i don't seem to have much to say these days.. but i have just accomplished something that i've been working on for the past few months, so glad that it's all over now. i guess all that effort did pay off in the end. have you accomplished anything, lately?

between shades of cream and white

hello. it's probably a little late to be talking about easter eggs.. but i always preferred the big hollow ones instead of the small eggs. the big one is so much more fun to eat.. the small one is just average for me.

and can i just emphasize on how much i love french butter? no one else does it better. i am starting to realize a pattern here. whenever i try to write something about myself, it sort of just goes into the food direction. most of the times. i swear i don't do it purposely.. but i guess food is just a big part of my life. i like it. if i know i'm gonna be eating something good on a certain day, i will wake up happy. sounds kind of weird but it's the truth.

vendetta for the weekend

i just painted my nails. changing it up with a darker color. i don't even remember the last time i wore vendetta by chanel.. probably last autumn/winter. i've kinda missed it. it looks black on the photobooth photo below but in real life with natural lighting, you can see a slight hint of purple.

i can't wait for this year's autumn/winter nail colors from chanel, they are always so nice and perfect. i've been trying to find a nice gray, something that isn't too dark but also isn't too light. does anyone have any suggestion?

wise words from miss roosevelt

i'm not much of a dreamer. i think i am more of a realistic than a dreamer. i set my goals and picture my future that is reachable, something that i know i can do and i will be good at it.

i don't dream to be swept away by some gentleman because we all know how hard that will be. but that doesn't mean that i don't believe in love. i do. but i'm not putting all my eggs in that love basket because i think whether or not it wants to find me.. i will be good with or without it.

i am not really sure where this is going but i guess it's just my random ramblings for the day. this week has been quite a lazy one. i wish i was more productive. maybe next week will be better. how is your week going so far?

stories from phone photos

i recently watched le balon rouge. it was such a sweet short movie. i really liked the little boy. and the big red balloon as well. i am also very fond of caesar salad and of course cupcakes. just in case anyone is wondering.. the bottle cap from snapple says: "real fact #811, the dots on a domino are called pips."

i realize something about my phone photos.. each batch of them tells a story but of course only i would really know what the story is, where it's located, what i did, what i ate and so on. it's pretty interesting to see it after awhile because it instantly takes me back to those moments. i am quite enjoying it. hope you guys are too :)

it only makes sense, 4 is my lucky number

i have to admit, i am a devoted blackberry user. but i think i may have to switch it up soon enough. the new iphone 4 looks so good, and it has this new feature called face time.. amazing. you can talk to someone on the phone and also see their face. sort of like web-cam/skype but on a phone. and it's over wi-fi. anyone else interested in the new iphone 4?

i think it's true that we all need character to survive. if you have a good character, then you're a good person and if you are a good person.. that will take you a long way in life which will then make you happy. does that make sense? that's what i believe in anyways.

so why don't you try to be good? it really isn't that hard. everyone has a good and bad nature in them. you just have to let the good side of you shine more than the bad side. kapiche?

favorite thing to do: cafe hopping

so i guess the whole post title says it all. i'm the kind of person who likes to spend time alone in a nice cozy cafe where i can just write and doodle in my notebook. reflect on the day or the week, depending on the situation. i know some people might think that it's weird but i really appreciate the time alone, it allows me to clear my head.

oh, i also bought a new dress the other day. haven't really had the chance to wear it out yet. but i'm really liking the stripes. have your purchased anything lately..?

did anyone else watch the season finale for grey's anatomy? i really think they have the best writers ever. like seriously. amazing.. even after so many years. i can't wait for the new season to start!!

high school & outfit of the day

i know there are some of you who reads my blog, and is graduating high school this year. i made the doodle below with that thought in mind. because i know how hard it can be leaving a place where you pretty much grew up, found real friends and learnt so many things throughout the whole experience.

i know i learnt a whole lot when i was still in high school. it was an experience that i am thankful for and will never forget. so i guess this post can be for the class of 2010..?

out of the ordinary

so i don't normally post about make-up or fashion here that much but if you read my blog on a regular basis, i tend to blurt out these kind of things here and there.. cause i am a girl after all. and lately, i've been quite interested in make-up and applying them properly. and i'm not talking about being all caked up but just the natural look where your features are enhanced by the make-up that you use.

anyways, i made a little doodle about what i use and what works on me. if you have any suggestions or reviews about other make-up, please share!!
