i don't know about you but every time i go inside a cafe or a restaurant and if they have strawberry shortcake on the menu, i will most likely order it. the same thing also applies to when i go to a bakery or a cake shop and if they are selling strawberry shortcake.. chances are i'd be buying it. you get the point.. i loooooove strawberry shortcake.recently, i have found the perfect one and the place is oh-so convenient for me which is a plus. it has the perfect sponge cake, perfectly fresh cream and strawberries. i guess it would depend on my mood but strawberry shortcakes are usually my "go-to" cake. unless they have some really sinful warm dark chocolate cake, then maybe i'll have that instead.
what's your "go-to" cake? it's okay, you can have more than one..

i like strawberry shortcake too! but i dont like the strawberry~ hahaha! i enjoy tiramisu as well.. but strawberry shortcake is lighter to eat all the time~ hehe ^^
Any kind of strawberry cake is my 'go-to' cake.Also my grandma's marbel cake and her apple cake.Also apple pie.I love a good cake.^^

I always go to the same pastry shop and when I'm lucky they have a wonderful praline/lemon/raspberry cake. That or a "russe" (which is praline) or tropézienne pie.
But that strawberry shortcake seems delicious!

oh my gosh I die for a red velvet cake. yum-o!! there's this place in new york city called veniero's that sell an awesome strawberry and banana chocolate cake. an absolute must! [it's a popular birthday cake there] did I mention I love cakes?!? <3
i think you and i would get along very well. ME, TOO. i've been loving strawberry shortcake with coffee. it's close to heaven indeed.

I love baking. I was reading a novel (which has nothing to do about baking) and found a tip of how to make the sponge cake the lightest possible.
You've got to beat the eggs separately!
