a new color to welcome a new week

so i may be changing my nail colors too often these days. just because i recently bought new bottles of opi nail polishes. this is my new color for the week: big apple red. and guess what? i have been trying to find the perfect bright red for my nails and i think i may have found it! it's perfect. although, i am quite curious about the one called off with her red from the alice in wonderland collection.

speaking of alice, i saw the film on the weekend and it was interesting. did you know that it's based on mathematics? i'm not a fan of mathematics but apparently there are hidden meanings about algebra and that sort of things in the actual literature. google it up, if you're interested.

for those who has seen it.. i would like to know your opinions. did you like it or did you think it was just alright? personally, i thought it was just alright. maybe i should have seen it in 3D! i did like the red queen though. such an interesting character, mostly in a comical way :)

also, i have been quite obsessed with watermelon juice. they are my new favorite juice at the moment. so refreshing!! and smooth as well. i think i will buy more watermelon to juice this week. and oh, it matches my nails!

lyrics on a doily. it's a song called don't see the sorrow by au revoir simone. for some reason, i can't find a youtube link for it. but i think some of you out there may already know it. such a calming and soothing song.

God,i want that nail polish,it's beautiful.
If i could peak a OPI color right now it would be the Mad as a Hatter from the Alice in Wonderland collection.
Right now my nails are back to the Sweet as Candy by Essence nailpolish.

I saw the film in 3D and i loved it.It was not as Tim Burton as i expected,it had a lot of Disney on it,but i really enjoyed it. Lewis Carroll was a mathematician. :D I am an Alice lover,so i knew that for a while now.

Watermelon!!!! It's still winter here,so no watermelon for me,but as soon as summer arrived i will get back to my usual habit of always having it around.

hehe I'm exactly the same i seem to change my nail colour every week now although I been favouring the glittery red recently!

I've seen Alice, I think it's a film that is meant to be seen in 3D and which you can only get the full effect of in 3D everytime the Cheshire cat came near me I just wanted to grab him and run away XD I did like it but I didn't think it was very Tim Burton in fact the only things that made it distinctly Burton were ther curly trees otherwise I think it was on par with Disney films like Narnia etc. I didn't think the Mad Hatter was quite mad enough more angry Scotsman than mad, Jack Sparrow was more insane lol! I doubt I'll bother go seeing it again though, I think I prefered Disney's original animated Alice to this one.

Love the polish and the doodle! Especially the message AND the texture that comes through the ink from the doily... perfect. =)

Opi nail varnish is a godsend! It's so much better than any other nail varnish I've tried, oh and that red colour is GORGEOUS!

I've never tried watermelon juice before, in fact, I'm not even sure if they do it anywhere around here but it sounds delicious! I'm drinking cranberry and apple juice at the moment actually :)

I really liked it! and yah i saw it in 3-D. I do agree that it was a bit tamer than the usual Burton. But i think it met my expectations. Maybe it didn't exceed them, but I really enjoyed it and I loved how there were so many details - maybe more noticable in 3D.

I got the Alice in Wonderland collection immediately after it came out... The "Off with her Red" is my FAVORITE! It's not your ordinary red, it's more crimson. As far as the other three colors, the other red is oo shiny for me and the Absolutely Alice & Mad as a Hatter are really pretty but VERY VERY hard to get off.

Alice in wonderland is my FAVORITE movie of all time.So naturally, I was very excited to see this movie... I loved it, but what I don't think a whole lot of people know is that it's more based off "Through the Looking Glass" & not the original which was dissapointing and also intresting at the same time.

I really like OPI's nailpolish- the red looks great.

Alice...mhhh, I've seen it Friday in 3D & I did like it, I guess I was a little disappointed, mainly because I though it would be more absurd and breathtaking...but I guess it's a kidsmovie, so it had to be a little softer...I really liked the Red Queen & I loved the "Grinsekatze" = The cat.

:)

Have a great week!

Great color red and lyrics on doily (that's a funny word isn't it?). Fantastic!

what's the name of the polish in the pic with the watermelon juice? It's lovely!

you are absolutely right. Lewis Carroll was a mathematician! Alice in Wonderland, ironically, tested the boundaries of logic (what is, isn't/what isn't, is); logic delves into set theory, which is a also a branch of mathematics.

big apple red sounds like the perfect name for red nail polish. yum.

Oh red looks good with your skin! My nails look good with brown shades. I just watched Alice in Wonderland yesterday! I did not watch it with 3D but I liked it though it's not great, great. I read the Time magazine too and there's this article about Burton literalizing Alice in Wonderland. Nevertheless, Alan Rickman sounded hot and so godly with that caterpillar. Oh Snape, I miss him. The White Queen was a bit too elegant. But the Red Queen is funny! And the door mouse was adorable!

Oh i'm a massive fan of Au Revoir Simone, i love 'Sad Song', such great lyrics! I'm still unsure whether to see Alice in Wonderland yet, but i'm thinking i should give it ago as i will be attending a Mad Hatter's Tea Party 18th next week and I need idea's for costuming + Jonny Depp is in it!
