as much as i don't want to admit it, i enjoy listening to lady gaga's songs. and i think she is pretty incredible live. as for the costumes.. i'm not so keen but i guess she needs to make an impression and stand out from the crowd.

anyways, this is a short post. i am physically really tired. not enough sleep, i guess :(

i think i've asked this question before on my blog.. but to be honest, i don't even remember the answers that some of you may have already answered. besides, it was ages ago that i asked this.. so here it goes again:

❝ when you ask me questions in the comments, would you prefer me to reply in your blog directly.. or would you prefer me replying it to the post on my blog? ❞

this is because some of you were asking questions in the last two posts and most of the time.. i answer them in your blog. but since there were a few questions in a blog post, i thought i'd save the time and just reply it all in one go, on my blog. is this getting confusing, or what? even i'm getting confused.

i guess i'll just do whatever is necessary according to the situation. ha! how random is this. and rather useless. anyways, do tell me your opinions :) they always matter.

ps. i was going to make a 2010 resolutions list but.. well, i've been rather swamped lately!! so i think i'll have to post it after the new year. have you made your resolutions list yet?

pps. the heart-shaped hand picture below is actually super old. like 6 or 7 years old, maybe? i just found it again recently.

nearly the end

a few days left in 2009 ❤

i still can't believe that we are so close to closing the year. when i was younger, i always thought that by 2010 there would be flyings cars or some super technological breakthrough in the world. i guess i was too naive back then.

anyways, a few days before christmas.. i "google reader-ed" my blog to see how many subscribers there were. and to my surprise it was such a nice even number! so this post is to say hi to those who are reading this through their google reader :) hi!! i cannot imagine how life was before i knew about google reader. it made everything so easy and saves you clicking on way too many websites at once. so if you don't know already know what google reader is, you should find out! for your own good, trust me.

so i decided to take a picture to show how messy my desk was when i was making the little book of lyrics. and it didn't show very well. but i guess you get the idea. papers everywhere, stickers, labels, tags, glue and of course masking tape.

okay, here's a question for you: what are your plans in the last couple of days of 2009?

anyways, the chanel nail polishes is my own personal collection. i've been collecting for a while now and i can't wait to get more. i don't know about you but for me, they are the best nail polishes around. the brush is not too big (like opi's) and the colors are just perfect. what more could a girl ask for?

and the doodle below was done a while ago. i don't feel the same way as i did at that particular moment. but i think that's a good thing :)

also this is what i've done in the past 24 hours: paint my nails red, ate apples, and fixed my blog's layout. not in that order though. can i just repeat what i said in my last post..? i hate the days between after christmas and waiting for new year's eve to come! that is all for now.

i'm back. i hope everyone had a wonderful christmas!! now, new years is just around the corner. i really hate the days between christmas and new years. it's such a short period of time and yet, there's still things to do before i can celebrate and ring in 2010.

so i realized that the photos aren't as clear as they could be. i don't know what happened there. well i guess i do, i was editing them in the wee hours and my eyes just wasn't working that well. sorry about that.

i also realized that my favorite songs really show what kind of a person i am, to a certain extent. which is interesting.. i guess? i don't know. but anyways, i am rather pop.. as much as i hate to admit it :p but then again, i also like mellow songs.

the little book of lyrics

i am super excited to post about this. i guess it's because this is my second mini book. the first, being the letters to crushes mini book and i've learn a lot from making that one. ie. it's not good to sew when you don't know how to sew in order to bind a mini book. so for this second one, i stapled them together instead!! so much easier :) and makes it lay flat as well.

this one is actually slightly bigger than the first one i made. i also used my leftover moleskine cahier papers for the base and used magazine scraps here and there for the collages inside. i found it super liberating tearing paper after paper.. you guys should try it out!!

anyways, for now.. i'll just post two pages of the little book of lyrics. i will post some more tomorrow.

christmas is so neaaaaar!! i can feel it already. anyways, i don't think i'll be blogging during the christmas weekend cause i'll be away and won't have internet access. this is just an advance note, i guess.

i just want to say thank you to those who left a comment on the last post. it really made my day getting all your comments through my blackberry and reading it as they come in :) it was also very interesting to read each one.. and i think none of you guys actually used the same word twice.. which is pretty amazing.

anyways, here's a page from my scrapollage. it's not really new. i've uploaded it to my flickr for a while now but i'm just getting around to posting it and making it able to be viewed by public. i think i have so much stuff on my flickr that i haven't had time posting on the blog. so it's just all there waiting to be posted.

also started a new mini book!! it's exciting :) i even bought a new stapler for it cause i've always wanted one!! hopefully, i'll be done with it soon. kind of half way through it but still some work to be done. i'll give you a little hint for now: songs.

from black to white

a slight change ❤

so i decided to make my doodles white for now. just felt like it cause it feels more winter-y than the usual black ones. what do you think? of course i am not going to stop with the black doodles, i will still keep making them that way.. but i think for now, this is a nice change. plus, it kind of reminds me of my "graffiti" days where i would bring a wite-out/tipp-ex or whatever you call it, everywhere and just doodle on the walls, tables and floors of my high school. good times.

505th post

i missed my 500th post. i only just realized it today.. oh well. it's too late to go back now so i guess this is it. my 505th post. wow. i can't believe i've posted that much. i still remember when i was posting about random things, not even really any doodles. actually it's pretty embarassing reading my old posts now cause i was such a beginner and didn't really know where the direction of this blog was going to go. but i must say.. after 505 posts, i have a rough idea as to where i want this blog to go (it took me THAT long!!) anyways, everything is a learning process, i believe.

ps. anyone wondering how i do my text bouncing like the "oopsy daisy" at the top and my previous post as well, you can go here to learn more. it's pretty easy.

i tried fixing my blog's layout, changing it and such but nothing worked out the way i wanted it to. so i guess i'll be stuck with this layout for a while now. i did tweak it a little though, if you can actually spot the difference. not much, just a little bit.

okay i'm going to move away from my laptop now. i think i've been staring at the screen for way too long.

*EDITED* i changed my banner too. and my background again. i promise i am done for the time being. i swear, i am just weird in this way.. when it comes to my layouts.

noise pollution

i drew this a while ago. in the actual coffee shop where i was sitting down and trying to have a relaxing moment. i also wanted to write in my notebook. but there was a bunch of girls a few tables away from me and they were talking so loudly that i could hear every single thing that they were talking about. i don't know about you, but i always picture coffee shops to be nice and peaceful. i mean of course, there will be people talking and chatting away.. but not up to the point that it would bug you.

have you had similar experiences before? how do you deal with it? i know that i could have just moved away from them.. but it was too crowded. i guess i learnt my lesson that day, if you want to have peace and quiet, have it at your own home. not in public.

ps. ignore if you see weird things happening to my blog. i am in the process of changing the layout. and it seems like it might take a while.

i changed my background. needed the change. i got bored as usual. might also need to change the whole layout too.. but i don't know what to change it too. hmm. i hate times like these. i never get satisfied.

anyways, here's the other dress that i was talking about. except i don't think the photo is doing it any justice. oh well. i like it no matter what. can't believe christmas is only 10 days away!!

trying something new

so i don't normally write first on a blog post. i usually post the photos or doodles first and then i'll write whatever it is that i need to write. but i am going to test this out and see how it goes. do you think it's better this way? or the usual way is better? do leave a comment, i'd love to hear your opinion!!

anyways, i bought new dresses the other day. not sure for what yet.. but most probably for the holiday season. the one picture below is my definition of a perfect dress. look at the collar, sleeve and color. i'm always on the hunt for nice long sleeves dresses. i don't know why.. i guess i'm more comfortable when the sleeves are long. i'll post my other new dress soon.

are you ready for the holiday festivities? i don't always buy new dresses when it comes to the holidays.. but it's nice to find a perfect one, just in time. it's like.. meant to be. or that's how i'd like to think anyways.

ps. i am no longer taking doodle requests, i'm sorry!! there's still some of you who are emailing me requesting for them.. but unfortunately, my hands has gone on holiday for now :) i hope you can understand.

an odd pair

these two photos has nothing to do with one another and they were both taken at completely different times. don't ask me why but.. i felt like pairing them together. i am still loving vendetta by chanel (as shown in the second photo) and for those who are wondering what that fish thing is, it's actually a korean ice cream. the inside is filled with vanilla ice cream and red bean. i happen to like it a lot, it's quite yum.

i've been experimenting with my slr recently.. it's an old one that i've never really used. surprisingly, i am liking it and i hope it'll last. cause i do hate lugging it around in my bag. maybe i'll get used to it.

anyways, the above doodle is one of my favorite requests. probably because i can relate to it very much. and i remember reading it the first time on my email.. and thinking, wow. that's so true! so here's to emily for requesting it :)
