sincerity

sometimes it's enough to see someone else happy,
to make you happy.

for all of you out there

there has been some comments lately asking about what font i use for my photos. well, here's the answer: it's my very own handwriting. i thought it'd be pretty obvious since the name of this blog is notebook doodles but this post is just to clarify it. anyways, i've been thinking of making it into a font but never really got around to doing it. maybe one of these days, i will eventually do it. what do you think?

live by this..

and remember, no good will come from telling lies.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. it is officially fall now! love it. i think i've said this multiple times.. but fall/winter are my favorite seasons. i love the colors, the cold and everything else in between! what's your favorite season?

some wise words..

i took these two photos two years ago in new york. it's scary how time flies. and we are already nearly at the end of september already. hope everyone has a great weekend!

going back to where it all started

just a quick update: i am going to portland to see this show on the weekend. amidst all the fashion week and vma's mayhem in new york, i think it'll be refreshing to watch traditional and classical arts. just look at all those costumes and backgrounds! i am pretty sure it'll be breathtakingly beautiful in real life. see you there?

all images were taken from here.

an absolute favorite

sometimes, you just know without having to say one word.

some people might not realize that i recycle this photo, which i took a while ago when i was on vacation. but i really do love this particular photo. and continuing on with the "lovey-dovey" flow from my previous post. this one is quite special to me.

wouldn't it be lovely?

to have someone say the above? and actually mean it?

it is a quote from the young victoria. i really enjoyed the film. emily blunt will probably kick keira knightley's behind.. personally, i like her more cause she's less annoying to look at. but that's just my own preference. have you seen the film? if yes, what did you think about it? if not, do watch it.. it's a very sweet movie.

an interesting discussion

if you have been reading this blog for a while now, you would know that i am totally obsessed with the ps1 bag (the second picture) so when i came across country road (the first picture) having pretty much the same exact replica of the bag, i was quite shocked. i don't know what to think of this issue. some people would love this kind of stuff, having found something which is originally insanely expensive for a much lower price.

but if you really think about it again, isn't this an issue of copyrights? i have read endless articles about chain stores ripping off runway looks, branded shoes and bags. so i guess this will always be an ongoing issue. and some people might not even aware that what they are buying/wearing is a rip-off of something else.

honestly, i don't even know the point of this post. i guess it's just an "informative" post for those people out there who are not aware of this issue. that is all.

youth and beyond

i've seen so many people or little kids who try to grow up too fast and i think that it's such a waste because they will miss out on their youth and would probably regret it afterward. i think the best thing to do is.. just enjoy where you are at the moment without thinking too much of the future. sure you can plan ahead but it doesn't mean that you have to do those things right now. that's just my personal opinion.

what's yours?

and the countdown begins

i can't wait for the new season of gossip girl to come out! it would be interesting to see the changes in the characters since they are all going to college. it should get really interesting. believe it or not, i have already set it up on my tv to record the season premier. just in case i won't be home to watch it. also thinking of recording the new shows that are coming up as well. aah.. i have to admit, i'm a sucker for these things.

anyways, the below doodle is a twist on the original and classic "keep calm and carry on" poster. it has been re-done so many times. like "keep calm and have a cupcake" etc etc.. i can't remember other ones on top of my head.. but i thought i'd make my own version. so here it is.

ps. thank you for all the kind comments on the previous posts. i really appreciate it! it just goes to show that some people aren't as considerate as others. it's just how the world is. that is all :)

the issue of copyrights.

i didn't want to have to post about this. but i think it's time that i do.

i was always very lenient with people on crediting my work. it didn't matter much to me whether they did put my link up or not but it shows respect if they did, which was nice.

so recently, i came across a blog that pretty much used my layout and background (you should know who you are, and this is not a "hate" post because if it was, i would be linking you right now).

just for your information, i created my blog to look like one-of-a-kind so that it can represent me in a way. and i also worked hard for it since i am not a html genius. but to have someone take it away and use it as they want.. that's just a little too much.

so please.. you know who you are. do the right thing. thank you.

waiting for lunch time

here's what i believe in: investing in good bags and using it until it has run its course, that's how it should be. i used to have a lot of different bags to match all different kinds of outfits before but now, i just stick to one for a while (sometimes a while more than i want to) and that will be it. there won't be any hassle of moving your stuff from one bag to another or losing things along the way. that's my bag policy. do you have a bag policy?

ps. the illustration below is pretty much self explanatory.
i am still wishing.
