they finally did it!! they've launched the snail mail valentines. i seriously screamed when i saw the e-letter because one of my cards were featured amongst tons of other great ones!! i also love their little snail mascot for the project, it's too cute to be true. and how cute is the little video above? i heart it!!

my sister made these homemade caesar salad and it was soooo yum. she's the only one in the family who can cook and even though salads does not technically need any cooking, she's just good in that way.

also, i've realized how i don't really watch tv these days. whatever show i want to watch, i'll always watch it on the internet. it is really convenient because you are not rushing to catch your favorite shows.. it kind just works around your schedule. and there are not annoying advertisments in between.

room palettes

i am in the process of re-decorating my room. here are my color choices for now. the walls will be wallpapered with white/creamish design.. and i am planning to cover my couches with the pink floral and stripes fabric. i am not sure when it will be done but once it is, i'll be sure to take photos and post them up on the blog.

if i had a valentine..

i would love to receive these on 14th of february. aren't they precious? i found them on pixiemarket. i think i've said this before.. but i am not one who loves gold and the reason being, i think it does not look good on my pale skin. but who could ever resist these rings? even if they are gold!

this was taken from dinner with a friend. it was the perfect portion and i hope it was somewhat healthy. i had strawberry iced tea along with the meal which made it just perfect. gosh.. i really am turning into a food blogger aren't i..? i don't intentionally do it but i just can't help to take photos of the food that i am eating, especially when they are deliciously crazy! i guess it just shows how much passion i have for my food..

busy as a bee

i have been running around to get things done lately. honestly, i kind of like the rush.. it makes me so active and i get to sleep really well at night knowing that i've done so much for a day and it just feels nice to be in really deep sleep!

anyways, the first photo is of a fruit called "grapple".. iyeah it's basically the shape of an apple with the taste and feel of grapes. anyone ever heard of this before? because i was seriously amused when my sister brought it home. it tasted pretty nice and smelled really good too. but i just have a feeling that it's not something real.. i mean, obviously, right?

i have been consuming a lot of japanese food lately. i guess it's cause i have stopped eating it for such a long time and now i miss it. but i am also very close to getting sick of it again..

transitioning aka what's in my bag

so i have been wanting to do a post on this. and yesterday was the perfect opportunity because i have decided to change my bag! as i've mentioned in previous posts, i have been quite bored with my bag and i've also been using it for quite some time now.. and the fact that it's quite overrated these days, makes me want to hide it in the box it came from and just use it again when everyone else is not. so anyways.. the bag on the right is what i am currently using at the moment. it's bigger and more spacious which is good. plus, you can carry it two ways which makes it so much more convenient for me!

row 1: black hinge wallet [which i do not use to store cash in, more like atm cards, id cards, etc], pens, wet wipes [a must!!], and my small moleskine notebook.

row 2: muji pouch for my ipod, my ipod/ lego speaker, my blackberry, and my camera [which isn't pictured because i was using it to take that photo!]

row 3: double tape, mini scissors, gum, lip balm, eye drops and post-it notes.

so there you go. i used to carry so much more stuff inside my bag but i have come to realize that less is more and as long as you have all the things you need on a daily basis, all is good! plus, a friend of mine told me that your bag should never be too heavy because it's not good for your body's posture.

hmm.. i realize my doodles are getting lovey-dovey these days. i guess it's cause of valentine's day coming up.. it's the lovebug!!

friendship forever

i received a lovely gift from one of my good friends recently. she bought me a notebook and that just shows how much she knows me. i'm not sure what i'll put in it but i was thinking, i might just make it into a book of us. photos of us and things like that. i think that would make it quite special, consider it's from her and it'll be about us.. a friendship book kind of thing? perhaps one day, i'll show her and it'll be nice to look back to all the things we've done together.

okay, i may be a little bit obsessed with "feet photos" these days.. but i didn't even realize that i took so many photos of people's feet and my own feet that much. until i uploaded it on my computer. oh well. there's no harm in it right..? plus, i think that feet has their own language.. just like body language. what do you think?

i love the first photo. it looks like a painting instead of a photo which is pretty interesting considering it was taken accidentally.

ps. is it a little too late for new year's resolutions? i am still waiting on my moleskine to arrive in the mail. and i don't feel like it's a new year yet because i haven't written on a new diary.. does anyone out there keep a diary anymore?

i realise that i haven't been posting my doodles recently.. but i haven't had the time to scan them into my laptop so please bear with me. it might take a while for me to scan them since i have so many things going around me at the moment. right now, all i ever post are photos and most of them are of either food or of lights and macro shots of lights. i guess you can tell that i am addicted to taking those kind of photos cause i think they are so pretty. the one above is a bit retarded though. oh well..

anyways, i decided to start on bloglovin as well. i don't even know how it works but apparently it's kind of like google reader? hmm.. i sign up for way too many things on the internet. one of them being my tumblr which is kind of dead right now. sigh.. i can never keep up with the internet!! which also explains why i am really bad at commenting back to people! i am so sorry but you should know that i read all comments and appreciate it so very very much!!

illusions

sometimes i just wish my nose is not as short and stumpy as it is.. and it looks so bad on those photos as well. but anyways, i didn't post that photo so that people can see my nose.. that's besides the point. i took the photos cause i am finally using my campbell soup container/canister which i bought from urban.

it's so good.. and although i don't use it for actual soup, i do use it for drinks.. like iced tea or juices. and guess what? it stays chilled. probably cause i put ice cubes inside. but still, i was amazed at how the ice cubes doesn't just melt straight away. i guess that's what canisters are for.

playing footsie

me & my brother. lanvin flats & reebok/nike/adidas/whatever it is. he was the one who started it.. and i hate his shoes. i never get boys who likes sport shoes with orange lining on them. then again, he is still very young so i guess i can't blame him much. i've bought him a pair of vans and a pair of converse but he never seem to use those shoes as much as his "sport shoes" ..which bugs me. alot!

how shiny does my tights look in the photos?! it must be the flash cause i swear, it really isn't that shiny in real life.

different types of stripes

i have been very dependent on my little black dress recently. it's so comfortable and pretty much matches with everything and anything that i own. i guess it's a staple piece in my wardrobe right now. but i am trying to wear it less these days.. instead i'll exchange it with a little black skirt which i shall post photos of soon!!

a japanese feast

it has been so long since i had japanese food! and when i had it the other day, it was just super yum! i think that's how it works.. you don't eat something for a while and then when you do eat it, it's like the best food ever!

i also enjoy getting really high from wasabi.. it kind of makes me happy in a way, the feeling of spicy and minty going up your nose. there's no other feeling like it! apparently, according to real japanese traditions or something.. when you eat sashimi, you don't mix in the wasabi in the soy sauce because that will ruin the taste of the raw fish. instead, what you should do is put the wasabi on the sashimi itself and then dip it in the soy sauce.

i thought i'd share my knowledge about this.. cause i was quite amused when i learnt about it.

hmm i took my grandparents to the doctors today. it makes me so emotional sometimes.. knowing that they are so old. i don't know if it's just me and my random mood swings but i got all teary for no reason at all. and i'm sorry for making this such a long post cause no one would probably even bother to read it all and i normally don't write too much either.

ps. the first photo is of my rooftop that is currently still in progress. we haven't figured out what we'll put inside the half glass half stone house yet.. but i'll definitely post photos up once it's done! any suggestions on what to put inside the little house? there's already a bathroom now and we're planning a kitchen as well..

honestly, i don't know if i completely agree with the quote above. no actually, hollywood movies just makes everything looks so simple and easy when infact, none of what they are showing is actually real. and no, i am not bashing hollywood in this post. it's just that.. i think the word "love" is overused and overrated. and again.. no, i am not heartbroken.. nor am i anti-love. it's just what i've always thought.. especially seeing the relationships around me always crumbling into pieces. i just think that maybe, love is nothing but a term.. with no actual feelings? that's all. hmm. i probably have no idea what the hell i am talking about here.

ps. i thought i'd share my weird dream here. well basically i had a fruit fight with my family. and the fruits weren't exactly cut up, they were in their original shapes.. meaning, we were pretty much chucking fruits [ie. oranges, apples, bananas, etc] at each other and i was bruised everywhere! i also dreamt that i went into a swimming pool fully clothed.. along with my bag as well and i was trying to not make the contents of the bag wet [ie. my moleskine!] but thankfully, it didn't get wet.

i had such a hard time waking up this morning cause i was too tired and sleepy.

a definition for you

i've always liked this word ever since i watched the movie. too bad, i never tried the cafe slash restaurant in the movie, which was shot in new york.. but apparently they have the best desserts but then again, i heard that one of them closed down cause of some health issues or something. i'm not sure so don't take my word for it.. it's just what i remember reading.

a random photo of sugar crystals sinking through my favorite cup of latte. i just thought the whole process looked so cool. and a watercolor doodle.. wait, i guess you can't count them as watercolor doodles because it's actually tea-stained doodles.

two great things about tea: i like their taste and i like using them for my doodles.. they create the perfect tint of brown. don't you think?

also, i found that this girl who made a collage out of my photos and doodles and thought that it was really sweet of her! and she did such a good job at it too!! i love collages and never really thought of making it from my own photos and doodles. it's just cool when someone does that kind of thing and you see what they see of you..? i don't know if that makes any sense but do check her blog, it is an interesting read!

hmm.. i can easily go on the internet and find inspirations but i am quite tired of sitting in the old chair and just staring at my laptop's screen.. plus, i think i have been sitting here too much that it's starting to hurt my back. honestly, i think i need to get out and explore.

i know i shouldn't be saying this, so early on in the new year.. but i do feel rather uninspired these days. so help me out, will you..? what inspires you? and where do you get your inspirations from?

marshmellows with sprinkles on top

i personally think that round sprinkles are so much more prettier than those long looking ones. i don't know how to describe it but iyeah.. however, the round ones aren't as yum as those long looking ones cause they are harder and has not much taste.

i have started to use my watercolors again these days. i shall post more of them soon! i'm glad that i'm using it again, like i said in my previous posts.. i do get bored very easily and coloring my doodles on the computer has pretty much worn out on me. which is why i am getting back into my watercolors again! i think i need to buy a new jar to put my brushes in.. the one that i am currently using is a little too small for my liking.

and here's a few things that caught my eye at urban. i really love those kind of bed head, or whatever it is called. they are so pretty! and has a vintage feel to them. and check out the diana camera being all silver-ized!! i have kind of given up on any type of lomo cameras cause they just take too much effort but that one down there, is one nice looking camera!! also, i think i would learn alot from the printmaking bible.. i'm quite curious what's inside it cause the cover looks awesome.

purple-y purple

i used to hate the color purple. but i have learnt to appreciate it in the last five years or so. i think i can actually say that i love purple.. it has that dark edgy side to it and yet it can be pretty at the same time.

a hint of nostalgia

these photos don't really remind me of anything. they are just places that i have discovered recently. but wooden benches always feel so home-y to me. i don't exactly know why but they just remind me of friends, laughter and barbecues?

anyways, i have not been able to stop eating potato chips in the last couple of days. i guess it's because i have been off it for such a long time now!! for some reason, i kind of just stopped eating them and now that i am eating them again, i simply can't stop. i love original potato chips, they are so simple but yum. and they have the perfect hint of saltiness too!
