if you have been reading this blog for a while now, you would know that i am totally obsessed with the ps1 bag (the second picture) so when i came across country road (the first picture) having pretty much the same exact replica of the bag, i was quite shocked. i don't know what to think of this issue. some people would love this kind of stuff, having found something which is originally insanely expensive for a much lower price.but if you really think about it again, isn't this an issue of copyrights? i have read endless articles about chain stores ripping off runway looks, branded shoes and bags. so i guess this will always be an ongoing issue. and some people might not even aware that what they are buying/wearing is a rip-off of something else.
honestly, i don't even know the point of this post. i guess it's just an "informative" post for those people out there who are not aware of this issue. that is all.

I know, I hate getting my works ripped off but I shameless-ly admit that I bought those stuffs too. If not for those copycat items, how do lesser mortals like me enjoy fashion? Drooling on the pages of Vogue?
I see this all the time with clothes; all the mega-expensive new fashions are unveiled and then a week later very, very similar copies are out in regular clothes shops for a fraction of the price. They are very close to the original, but not so close to make them liable to get sued.
I’m enjoying your blog, by the way. Thanks for the post!
they're so similar, when i looked at first i thought they were of the same collection just diff colours! although the 2nd seems more feminine if that makes sense at all... :)
Those 2 are quite similar, but it's not as if that's a style of bag that's never been done before. I definitely agree about copyrights being an issue in fashion, but this one doesn't bother me so much because I've seen lots of bags like that before.
Interesting topic indeed!
the ps1 bag is one of my favorites!
i am not against copy in that case, if you have the money, buy the real one, if you don't have money, then buy the lookalike :) for me it's just as simple as that. these luxury fashion creations are not made to be accessible anyway, so let's be realistic :)
You might find this TED talk on the topic of copyright and the fashion industry quite interesting to watch:
