i really like this photo. it looks like tropical haven to me. i took the photo when i was on vacation last time, it was actually part of the hotel's garden and i just thought it was really pretty.
anyways, i have a question that popped up in my head when i re-read the quote on the left..
what if we don't make our own choices? what if other people made them for us? does that mean its not our responsibility anymore? it's just a thought i guess. something i've been thinking about.
oh and ps. thank you for all the lovely comments on the previous post. every time i received each one, it made me feel better and better. so now i am fine. thanks again.

i love the quote and the picture :)
i think its nice too. my dad will go ga-ga over the pic:)
anyways, yeah i always think of the same question like you do. what if we don't even want to make our own decesion just because we dont want to hurt somebody's feeling? is it counted as our fault too?
if there is anyone who can answer that, whoa. i DIED already.
I'm a determinist, so I see all the choices we make as being caused by everything that's ever happened to us, which is outside of our control. Oddly, though, I still think we're completely responsible. It's kind of conflicting, but really how can you make any choice without calling on the wealth of knowledge that is your experience and also how can society function if people didn't take responsibility for their actions? I guess I'm just combining the practical and the ideal.
Also, that picture is amazing! :)
another lovely post :) I'm addicted.
I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, so in some ways we shape our lives with our desires and goal and on a different way our lives are shaped by fate. I am not religious or anything, that's just my opinion and thoughts on the idea.
P.S. I am so happy to have found your blog it is absolutely beautiful and amazingly inspirational.

that picture is gorgeous, the light is so dreamy & soft :) I suppose sometimes decisions are made not by outselves but it's just life right? Our reactions are still important in determine what happens next though i think :)

I always dream about another place for living and it's always some tropical place:)
That photo is beautiful! You have such a good eye for photography.
I'm glad you're feeling better!
In response to your question, I have no answer. All I believe is that everything always works out so in the end it doesn't really matter who's choice it was. :)

and yes, i agree with your quote. i also think that people making the choices for us says a lot when we are afraid of saying no. those are the toughest letters and word to use but it is so powerful.
Aahh, a great discovery your blog! I found it through Here Comes the Sun. Beautiful, inspiring, insightful stuff. Thank you!
I love that image, so relax,
