best cake ever!

officially blew my candles for this year. the cake was a surprise from my sister =) i wasn't expecting such a huge cake.. and in pink as well!! it was probably the best cake i've ever had.

iyeap that is my current situation these days. well actually, it has been quite a while now. i think i need to buy more ice trays cause we always seem to be running out of ice and no matter how much i make of it, it is never enough. so the only possible solution here is to buy more ice trays!

haven't had these for the longest time: coffee eclairs, chai and strawberry gelato. i am somewhat cutting back on my sweets lately.. i was never really a sweet tooth but it is always nice to have something sweet at the end of every meal. it just makes everything feel complete.

so i finally fixed the whole issue with my bb today! so glad that it can work now =) emails are flowing through as i receive it and it's just awesome. makes my life so much more easier!!

long lost friend

i just came across this biscuit recently and remembered how i would always buy them while i was still in sydney. i would always get it either at the japanese shop behind my school or at the supermarket in chinatown. they always made me happy cause for one, it is a heart shape and secondly, it is sugary sweet.. such perfect combination.

well, here are the rest of my colored quotes. i have been working on some new ones in the last couple of days slash night.. so get ready for it! it's slightly different but in a good way. i think. i shall scan and post them soon.

monday morning. the usual routine of having a hard time waking up, getting myself ready, making a cup of coffee which effects' hopefully will last for the whole entire day and catching up with school work..

the photo at the top is a new one, took it while i was stuck in traffic one afternoon. the bottom photo is from one of my singapore trips.. it was taken at ps. cafe and i really liked their whole natural feel even though it was inside a mall.

the plan is to get some drawing done this weekend. i already started some last night and i am hoping i will be able to do more today and tomorrow. might scan some in by monday. i got around to watch my sassy girl and forgetting sarah marshall.. both were good romantic comedies but also very different. one has really good cinematography while the other has nudity, so iyeah.. very different indeed.

this is what i see every morning

except for the notebook, everything else is current. i have already finished using that notebook and that picture was taken quite a while ago. i still see the same chandelier, same curtains, same garden, same coffee cup and the same pen every morning. i think having familiar things around you is the element that makes you feel comfortable at home.

i don't think i'm the only one who does this.. but i must admit, it makes things so much more convenient and that's why i love my macbookpro so much!! you don't have to find a mirror or go to the bathroom to see how you look like anymore.. with a single click, bam! there's a mirror for you =) and the great thing is, people would have no clue. they would just think that you are on your laptop doing work.

losing my concentration

i have homework piling up and yet i am still here typing up a post to blog. it's so hard to concentrate when you have a million things in your mind of what you want to do. i find it really hard to contain all my thoughts sometimes.

p.s. that's my favorite bedsheets at the top =) it's just so pretty and makes me feel happy.

early wednesday

i had to wake up super early this morning and it was surprisingly not as hard as i thought it would be. i ended up having super early morning coffee as well and browsed through the net. also ended up browsing through my old photos which i have never uploaded here. there will be many more to come.

just a thought.

the beginning

i've been having to wear sandals around the house lately.. due to the fact that there's so much dust from the construction that is happening on the third floor. i hate having dusty feet!

here's the first of many. i have decided to write a bunch of quotes in my notebook, some inspirational ones that i found and some are just from my head and what i am thinking at that moment in time. the first batch is in my watercolor notebook so i might actually color them in. i shall post them up again once i get the chance to.
